KERRVILLE
— Tina (Olive Christine)
Grappe was born Oct. 19, 1922, in Haskell, Texas, and died April 28,
2009, in Kerrville, Texas. She was a 1939 graduate of Haskell High
School and for many years was a resident of San Antonio. Her dear
friends from Haskell High, Madge and LaVerne, also lived in San
Antonio and the three stayed close all through the years. Tina was
preceded in death by her husband, Ludrew Grappe, and her brothers,
Hugh Lowe and Ross Lowe.
Tina
left us quickly and quietly, as was her way. She spent her time
enjoying the simple things in life.
Friends,
family and most especially her grandkids were her greatest joys. Any
time spent with her was filled with laugher. Tina took great delight
in visiting, sipping a soda and enjoying a good joke or funny story.
Simply said, Tina enjoyed people and people enjoyed Tina. Her
natural ability to make people feel comfortable and at ease endeared
her to many people who felt privileged to call her their friend.
Sitting on the porch in the cool of a summer’s eve, surrounded by
friends and family with a Coke and cookie was a happy occasion for
her.
Tina is
survived by her sister, Doris Williams of Richardson, Texas; two
sons, Larry Grappe of Hunt and Steve Grappe of San Angelo;
daughters-in-law, Shelly Beth Grappe of San Angelo and Patty
Crockett of Hunt; three grandsons, Anthony Jude Trotter of Tokyo,
Japan, Austin Vincent Grappe of Lubbock and Tyler Ryan Grappe of San
Angelo; and one granddaughter, Emma Crockett of Hunt.
GiGi,
